POTUS Bingo

Tonight, President Obama will address the nation regarding his plan for the war in Afghanistan. This is sure to be one of the major speeches of his presidency, and we have the lesson to get your students engaged.

POTUS Bingo will have your students discussing what the president might say in his speech so they can fill out their Bingo cards. Students can then watch the speech live, or in class the next day, paying close attention for words or phrases on their Bingo card. The activity ends with a discussion on the topic of the speech.

This is a fun way to encourage your students to pay close attention to current events.
